And how many Ipad-1 owners have yet to upgrade, those stats aren't given. If you are happy with what you have are you going to switch when you do upgrade, for the Average Joe probably not. This is great, now :apple: seem to be back on track to continuously release improved hardware technology.
It was sad when they took away the Firewire out of the iPod.
Something like the European requirement, in the US the cable TV providers have to provide firewire equipped cable boxes, so the users can get Firewire video out them. Normally you have to ask for it, and they have to give it to you.
Thunderbolt will kick ass.

Got yesterday. Traded in 5 games at EB for $125 credit, DSi for $80 and CoD:BlOps for $40, sooooo yeah! I figured why not. They still had a TON of them left at 5pm. Either not popular or they made too many.
No games though! Too poor to afford any so I have just been messing with the AR games and faceraiders. Quite cool. I second MRU on the jaggies... needs a 6950 crammed in it somehow ;) And I second JackAxe, why glossy finish? Frankly, the DSi was the perfect DS hardware. Good buttons, dpad, screens, size, finish and the 3DS is a step down. And damn is it ugly! I couldn't handle the blue, it's about 5 different colours.
I was really curious about the 3D effect and the test nearly made my eyes explode. It was weird and actually hurt. Luckily I don't find actual use like that. The jarring thing is the menu. Since the upper screens (the "title screens") of the Apps is in 3D moving all around while the touch screen obviously isn't. So looking between the two causes my brain to yell at me. My girlfriend immediately turned off the 3D and told me she is never going to use it.... so yeah.
For free I am happy. I'll be happier once Zelda/Mario/Starfox comes out. And my girlfriend will crap herself when Animal Crossing makes it out.

Who thinks this is fake. I think it is plus he's asking for a lawsuit etc advertising his business on the advert too. Maybe it's stuff to sell the cases?

Apple is not to blame here, if you read the comments below you'll see the cell providers are:

This statement is not going to be true forever. Many companies are making changes to the systems that control the cellular network, and, since getting the time-of-day is relatively easy to accomplish now, it won't be long until this function is taken out of the hands of a person.
Edited answer: The person who said I was wong was basically right. CDMA and GSM networks use a GPS clock, but the switch still needs to know what offset to use for the local time. All GPS sats use UTC, not local time. TDMA and AMPS networks still have their time entered by hand."

...maybe I could have found more with different search words, but I think this tells the real story, cell phones get their time from their cell service which is more localized and not maintained/monitored the same way as your ISP for your computer. (I've had clock setting issues when traveling w/laptop, but normally you are in one or two places at most w/laptop and not reliant upon a network of cell towers with more variables).
Calendar events are reliant upon the time being set right in the phone, again, not apple's fault, the cell carrier's problem. This has been an issue since people starting using smart phones (of any brand) for their alarm.

I don't want a boring DVD. I want Lion to come on one of those cool MacBook Air-style memory sticks, only compatible with ThunderBolt.
I too think a USB installation stick would be cool, but easy to lose, I'd imagine! On the flip-side, you can scratch DVDs.

Nicely framed flower photo. Good use of DOF to add to the prominence of the subject while allowing the background to have it's own character. You have contrast in the brightness of subject and background which are, intriguingly, complementary colors...:)

Same issue of lack of sun over here, too. I like the feel of this posed shot. I think it would be a bit stronger if the watch face were more visible. It's kind of hard to tell if the time is the same. Shooting this with something like a pocket watch on the sundial would be interesting, too. Similar shape but different "mechanisms".

The amount of stupidity in this thread is mind-blowing. Don't want people to know where you are? Don't check in. It's so simple.
By default, your friends can check you in to any location - whether you're there or not.
That's where the real privacy concern is coming from.
It's one thing if YOU put your location out to the world, but it's another thing entirely when your friends can do it (and I'm sure many would do that, quite innocently).
