I tend to agree with your interpretation that "NOT SUBJECT TO PER COUNTRY LIMITATION IF ADDITIONAL VISAS AVAILABLE" refers to those beyond 140K. The language of law is always beautiful, isn't it?:)
Anyhow, I still think it merits a deeper investigation and consultation with attorneys.

I will be traveling during May to India (Bangalore) with a 3 hour layover in Frankfurt (Lufthansa). Is there anyone who has just returned through frankfurt without a transit visa?
What is confusing is that on the Indian website of Lufthansa it says that "Expired Visa with I797 extension notice accepted " Check out the last line in bold font.

hello,
my qualification is 10 + 12 + 3 BSc Physics + 3 MCA. My LC clearly states that a Master's is required.
does this qualify for a US Master's? please note the fields are different.
My i-140 has been denied and waiting for notice...mostly it education and i filed under EB2 in TSC...
any input guys?????

I have heard from one of the forums here that an estimated 500K people will file this month since all PDs are current. EB-3 mexico + phillipines togther alone will be close to 300K. God help the Job market.
Also minimum wait time will be 500K/140K ~ 4 yrs before they get to process your GC. Add to that the time for namecheck backlog 2+ yrs. So total 6+ yrs before getting GC........

You're right, the point I was making is the real intention of these Senators...When you want to scr.ew somebody you ask questions that are hard and mostly unanswerable....Take this example, Look at the requirement that Hyderabad Consulate has put up for H1B Visa Stamping, it sounds like they are saying don't you dare!!!

Dear friends, why do you seek to start bashing your country at the first opportunity you get. THere are people in the Indian Govt who are negotiating on your behalf to make sur you get your money back.
THen on the question of paying bribes to get money out of PPF - something is better than nothing. Why complain. If it is so bad, go back and fight to fix the system, otherwise stop maoning. India is the only country that will welcome you if you are kicked out of here. I remember i used to pay 50 INR per ticket for a railway seat, now i go online and book a ticket. Things change they take time and patience.
Only those people who have NEVER bribed anyone to get stuff done illegally, or out of turn should speak. And i know there is no one, since you are in US and came on a passport and we all know how passports are obtained.

Yes my in-laws are fine and they were not disappointed seeing me in person. But I am gigling by looking at this thread is growing and at page 3 someone put a shame on this thread. As for me sometime its fun and Ok to share minor detail or personal detail to give confidence to someone doing same thing which we went thru(like I have beein using photos taken at Kinkos and Sears). Nevertheless since date is coming closer to file our 485 it makes me happy to see several smiley face and helping hands in IV forums. Glad to be helping others and ignore rants of others.

My friend is changed it's law firm for 485/EAD/AP and filed last week without any problem. His employer don't have objection to change because he was paying not employer.
He paid 1500 as fee(1000 self + 500 spouse). If you need info please PM me.
I guess most of the folks here are busy preparing to apply for 485. I have different problem here.
My employer's attorney is charging me outrageous fees of around $5000 to
apply for 485, AP and EAD for me and my spouse. This excludes USCIS fees. I work on hourly basis, so I should be taking care of immigration fees. My employer is not allowing me to file through another law firm.
Do I have any other options. How much do they charge usually.

I have my Automobile and Home insurance through Amica. But they declined to give me a Life Insurance Quote because i am not a citizen or a GC holder. They are ready to insure the cars I drive and the house i live in, but not me.
I am not too happy with this scenario and i have sent an email to them asking reasons on why they cannot accept my life insurance. After all i will be paying them right. If i dont get a valid response from them i will be going to somebody who is not impartial to Resident Aliens (PPL on Visas)
