I finally heard back something from my Senator's office. He sent me an email from USCIS stating that my FBI check was clear but that I needed new fingerprints as the first set had expired. The email also said that she would request a fingerprinting appt for me which should happen after 30-60 days and once I got fingerprinted the Senators office can contact her so that she can expedite with the I 485 supervisor.
Now my question is should I waoit for her to trigger the 2nd fingerprinting notice, or should I just take an Infopass and try to get them scheduled ? I mean should I really wait 30-60 days just for a fingerprint request (assuming they remember to send one) or can I proactively request it to save time.
Would appreciate a response ?

Did you drive car on High Way over the speed limit and got ticket.
And passer by drivers at Higher Speed than you. Can you point police for stopping you.
So don't tell that you are fine and everybody is fine.
What if someone here saw your postings (800+ posting guru) and travels wihtout Transit Visa and Aitport people ask for Transit Visa and missed flight--- Have to stay at Airport for hours.
Try to accept rules guys....

Next time, I wont be so polite when writing my response because you mentioned some unnecessary things in your response to my post. So, please do not aggrevate me. that was my experience, whether you want to take it or not, or, if others want to take it or not is totally upto them. same way, u dont speak for others. keep it to the point and dont do any personal attacks.

Looks like for the ROW the EB3 moved by a year. In march it was for August 2002 and in April it is for August 2003. That good for some folks who are rest of world....like me. Still 2 years away for me......

I think as a next step I will contact my Congressman after the Feb dates are released and we are still current. Do you know if it makes more sense to approach Congressman or Senator for this ? Also should I approach only 1 rep like 1 Congressman or approach both my district congressman and 2 state senators ?
We are even more screwed because since our dates are current we can not even get 2 Yr EAD or 3 yr H1 extension but you have to renew both annually.
Please share your experiences.

No FP notices. Spoke with the lawyer today morning and he mentioned that as the FPs are elgible for 15 months, they issue the FP when they "think" that they shall be able to finish the case in that 15 month time period.
My EADs say FP not available, but I believe that it is not a big concern.
Now that my EB3 PD is Sept 2001, I am hoping to get the FPs sooner rather than later.
As for I-485 Reciept Notice's receipt date, will check with lawyer again and update you folks on that.

I saw lud chnage on my 485 on 2/5/09. How long the finger prints are valid?
Is any one's LUD changed recently?
Would you mind updating your profile. The 4 or 5 posts above yours were about LUD's. I am not sure what else you asking for. ??
And, finger prints are usually valid for 15 months, and there is no definite trend as to who is asked for finger prints again and who is not.

I guess most of the folks here are busy preparing to apply for 485. I have different problem here.
My employer's attorney is charging me outrageous fees of around $5000 to
apply for 485, AP and EAD for me and my spouse. This excludes USCIS fees. I work on hourly basis, so I should be taking care of immigration fees. My employer is not allowing me to file through another law firm.
Do I have any other options. How much do they charge usually.

Result:
ICE officer did not visit me on the scheduled day. There is no communciation from him so far on reschedule also. I donno what happened. I also did not want to follow up with him.

This is my first post. I worked my ass off to get a favorable
solution for retrogression during the budget bill. But as everyone knows it was defeated in the house reconcilation. I'm not being pessimistic but my gut feeling is that eventhough senate comes with something, the chances are slim that the house would agree to it. Sensenbrenners bill which house passed has no provisions for EB immigrants and backlogs. I'm pretty sure all of you are aware of Mr. Tancredo's fury against immigrants too.
Having said that I dont mean we have no way out. We have to work very very hard. We have to raise money and do some hard lobbying. But above all we have to get our employers to back this issue. With all of the above reasons I think it might be a very bad idea to guess we would have any favorable legislation in a shorter span of time. So we have to plan something for a longer period of time and execute it very diligantly, I guess.
I think Immigrationvoice is on the right path... Lets face it people!!!

Does it really make sense for a CP filer to get EAD? Interim benefits are for AOS filers and rightly so too as a CP filer is deemed to be outside the USA.

I am not sure if the PM and email from IV is working. I sent out 4-5 PM and emails to various members from MI and I have not got a single reply. Also I still have not got an email from Sanjay or Varsha. Also breddy2000's email also was not received.......I am not sure if something is down.
Please advise what is needed, otherwise I have a very crazy schedule next week and I will not be able to do anything.
