You are right that spill over of 23020 visas from family based category contributed to movements in EB2 categories, however that was not the only spill over that happened. There were 12144 unused visas in EB-4 and EB-5 category which also spilled over. Didnt think this would be so easy - My apologies to everyone for being a lazy person before - from the time of my last post till now, I've been able to get another 12 more webfaxes done through my friends and now they are talking to their friends ( not the common ones ) to get more faxes.

Quotas are exactly the reason I cannot go back to India ever...I absolutely hate them....There is already classification under EB category....BTW I have a MS in EE from Auburn University....Best bet for us is lost visa recapture.....

If you have current AP, you can travel while your AP renewal is pending. AP renewal will be from the date when your current AP expire.
In other discussions it is mentioned that if I-485 is pending & you are applying for renewal you don't need this letter.
BTW, i just read this in the I-131 instructions, so if i hold a valid AP now and apply for renewal and go to India and enter back using the existing AP, does it mean my pending I-131 renewal will be abondoned? :confused:

Highly recommended especially, if your company pays for it (mine did not)!
I know lot of us have tough schedule but this bill will get rid of large pool-
I would think 30-35% - Why? Lets see EB1's are definitely out- Plus most EB2's (except Bachelors + 5 yrs exp guys) will be out.
Don't give me any Red dots over this- Just a humble opinion. So, lets says it gets rid of 30% in queue, it's as good as Increasing visas to 182K!

2. Understood there is only one bread earner, well you do pay 1000s of $ to fill stupid forms to lawyers. A fraction of that amount will produce bigger bang here at IV.
3. Some people here in IV are out of the job but still continuing on their mission. Unfortunately, cowards like you will also be benefited by their efforts.
4. If you really wanted to help, u could have started by joining the state chapter.

What I see alot of are #1 asking people to contribute and #2 members complaining about people asking their questions in the wrong area or opening too many threads. Someone needs to explain fully what Core is doing and list ways for the members to help. I would love to help if I can. Unfortunately I don't have a lot to offer financially being that my husband and I are living off one income. I wish I could go to the rally but I cant afford to do that either. There must be some way that I can help- stuffing envelopes or something- anything. But what I would love to see is an explanation of what it is the Core is trying to accomplish and a set of guidelines for posting if possible because I am so sick and tired of seeing "please close this thread"

Look back and recall the time when you told yourself that if you ever made it to the US, you are going to visit place A or do thing B. Go kayaking, enjoy the countryside, join a hiking group, play some sports and etc. US have lots to offer us if we just let go and start enjoying life. Good Luck!!

Call your senator and explain your situation. I have done so in the past after I lost all papers. I have received drivers license on the basis of only photo copies.
I just got back from a lengthy fight with my local and state DMV offices to convince them I'm legal to continue having a drivers license. I'm EB, in the adjustment of status stage since July 2007. DMV asked me recently for proof for status check. I took the pending I-485 receipt and while they told me it is an acceptable proof, they said they have a rule that if the document has no expiration date, they can only give you a driver license with validity 6 months beyond the receipt date of your document (with the wild assumption that any I-485 application is approved or denied within 6 months)
I have nothing against local government and their agencies enforcing immigration, but if you won't give your staff the necessary training to comprehend what legal immigration status is then it will be a disaster

Pls do not lose heart.
speaking for myself, i have tried to remain active, but suddenly got swamped with a huge work-load.
in this economy, performance is a matter of survival. Not to say that we should accept immigration to be a luxury.
It is a pity i had to miss the donor's telecon last week, simply as i was still working.
So bottom line: there are still people who are willing to participate and active, but it is a matter of immediate priorities.
Let us keep up the spirit and keep working....

What do you say about your problem when you take InfoPass. You can't take an appointment to just ask what is happening to your case, unless several months have passed after all sorts of dates.
I dont belive it when ppl take silly suggestions seriously. We should know better having been in this mess for years now...

My Job duties on labor says
"Design, develop and test software using Java, C++, C, VB, Winrunner, SAP, Oracle, Networking, ASP and RUP"
The title in labor is "Software Engineer"
Now the new job offer has title as "Lead Developer"
and duties are
"The lead developer will be responsible for leading a team to creating components within Java, utilizing standard Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), writing unit test cases and supporting the Testing and Quality Assurance phases of the software development lifecycle."
Can somebody comment on this in context of same / similar job?

I firmly believe that you should not let go this company who screwed u....first and foremost hire a good immigration lawyer (i know it will cost some $$$)....but its important...and discuss with him your case...then sue that bastard company and let him have sleepless nights for couple of months....
Its fraud for the company to accept money for filin 140/labor....they will be screwed more for that...u can mention that the company told u that each employee pays his own costs....and hence u gave him money
