Now a days we are seeing more threads related to spill over allocation interpretation etc, but I have not seen any single post by IV Core about this. I am from EB3 community and share the frustration among others.
I see a lot of people suggesting to port from EB3 to EB2, instead of wasting time on these discussions. Well, porting is not an option for most of us. It is either because we are working for big companies (who do not want to extra burden) or not able to find a small company which can help us.

Today I got a mail from a H1B person with German nationality and suffering due to green card issues. He is planning to go back to Germany. He found us through wikipedia.
Great work, keep it up. I hope more people contribute to this effort. Only a handful have participated and few have just suggested a link in their post instead of posting themselves on the sites.
It takes only 15 minutes to help!
If you dont know where to post, just google- 'desi forums' indian forums' 'immigration forums' 'desi classifieds' 'chineese forums' etc kind of keywords and you wll find plenty to get started.
All these efforts are small behind the scenes efforts for IV publicity and are very important for our visibility, awareness, membership drive and search engine rankings. You maybe an annonymous soldier in this effort but your effort will be useful. I hope more people help out with this idea.

How much numbers can we seek..to recapture from the lost EB numbers from previous years? 500,000?? There will be a hue and cry...new headlines "half a million cheap labor" etc.
Unless something like SKIL is passed only other thing that would help India EB2,3 would be to use these recaptured numbers to be used ONLY for priority dates older than 3years or something like that. Even if achieve legislation to recapture the EB numbers.. unlesss we seek something like this EB India will be screwed for ever.

This is the new trend among the Desi consulting firms in NJ area. I don�t know about other areas. These days they don't want to hire a person with tons of experience. Because the experienced ask more benefits and can't be exploited to the same extend as an F1 OPT candidate.
Recently I spoke with many Desi consulting companies to change my job and most of them were offering less than what I get today. Later, I spoke to the consultants on bench/training and learned about the OPT candidates.
Another thing, at the client site if you are a Corp candidate then they don't believe your resume and expect you to prove yourself at the work. Not a problem for an experience candidate to prove his or her capabilities, but the whole process shatters your morale and at some point it becomes a problem.

1) They want to minimize wastage by making more visas available for CP.

Since there are a lot more EB2 India applicants with PD's earlier than that, they felt that most of the EB2-ROW spillover would go to India. Moving the dates forward to 2006 would ensure that EB2 China gets a decent share of the spillover.

Some of the international air miles can be redeemed for US domestic flights with their partner airlines.
For example, korean Air can be redeemed for Delta tickets
Air India cannot be redeemed for any domestic flights as they do not partner with any US Carrier.

I am sure the IV core would have thought about this option of contacting USCIS and let them know the problems because of retrogression.
But I like the idea of collecting 10$ for the fax and creating awareness. Lets move.
so let find out who is dead of department of homeland Security and get addresses , phone number and fax. USCIS is branch of DHS. That`s where we need to contact them and ask them what we THEY can do for us and what are our legal options
please someone work with core team to get that fax letter ready. I can do that if core team allow me
